Applicant: ”I’m the one you want. On my last job, every time anything went wrong, they said I was responsible.”
This is the story of four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody. There was an important job to be done and Everybody was asked to do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody’s job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn’t do it. A business man called and had a question about the documents he needed in order to fly to China. After a lengthy discussion about passports, I reminded him he needed a visa. ”Oh no I don’t, I’ve been to China many times and never had to have one of those.” I double checked, and sure enough, his stay required a visa. When I told him this he said, ”Look, I’ve been to China four times and every time they have accepted my American Express.”-0+
A realty salesman had just closed his first deal, only to discover that the piece of land he had sold was completely under water.
”That customer’s going to come back here pretty mad,” he said to his boss. ”Should I give him his money back?”
”Money back?” roared the boss. ”What kind of salesman are you? Get out there and sell him a houseboat.”
